Considered as an important tourist center, &#8220;South Center of Chile&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h2>Puc\u00f3n<\/h2>\n<p>It is located in the province of Caut\u00edn, IX Region of La Araucan\u00eda. Territorially it extends from the commune of Melipeuco and Cunco in the north to the communes of Panguipulli and Villarrica in the south. To the east it limits with Curarrehue and to the west with Villarrica.<\/p>\n<p>Its precordillerana location, with lakes, intermediate towns, rivers, wooded and cattle areas, as well as the location of the city between Lake Villarrica and the volcano of the same name, place it as a prime tourist enclave in the country, which has allowed the displacement of investment capital in infrastructure, services and housing for an increasingly growing population, with a growth rate of 1.24%, one of the communes with the highest population growth in the region.<\/p>\n<h2>Access<\/h2>\n<p>This area is accessible by air and land. From the Panamericana Sur, Temuco-Freire-Villarrica route (5 South &#8211; R. 55); and from Argentina (International Route 119) through the Mamuil Malal International Pass; air to Puc\u00f3n in summer time, and long weekends. No less than five interprovincial bus companies connect Puc\u00f3n with the capital of Chile, daily.
